Welcome to our blog focusing on women’s golf in the Sacramento region. We are determined to carry on the good fight in recognizing that a large part of our golfing community is being overlooked when we read about playing a course “from the tips” or when an ad describes only men’s ratings and slopes. We are writing this blog with women in mind. If men find some of our stories interesting, even better.
Our Personal Golf Experience
Our combined number of years playing golf totals over 100 – yes, we are that old. In our youth we competed locally and nationally, highlighted by playing in several Trans National Amateur championships and the 1976 US Amateur Championship at Del Paso Country Club. Over the years our single digit handicaps have “evolved” into double digits, but our love of the game has never wavered. Our 25 combined years of course rating experience has allowed us to understand golf courses from the perspectives of both low and high handicap women players. We have played almost every course in the Sacramento region, but our goal is to play or replay courses in order to give you more information to help you play a course better and to help you enjoy your experience. We will also try to capture the atmosphere a golf course provides, particularly as it relates to women. Our number one goal is to help you improve your game and have fun doing it.
